Houston, Texas Social Event for Christians

May 30 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
$20.00
Join other local Christians as we enjoy breakfast + a walking tour of our city together!

Let’s kick off Saturday with a high-energy breakfast at Barnaby’s Cafe at Market Square. We’ll grab a spot on the patio (pesto eggs and fresh-squeezed OJ, anyone?) before heading out to explore the Main Street Market Square Historic District together. This isn’t a formal guided tour we’ll be learning the history alongside each other as we navigate the city’s original town center and birthplace.

We’ll find the famous “Houston is Inspired” mural and the grand 1910 Harris County Courthouse. We’ll visit the birthplace of Houston at Allen’s Landing and see the city’s oldest commercial building, La Carafe (est. 1866). We’ll track down the “secret” red button to trigger the Big Bubble on the Preston Street Bridge and find the serene courtyards of Christ Church Cathedral.

Parking Info: The Market Square Garage (301 Milam St) is the easiest and most central option-it’s directly across from our start and end points. Street parking is metered on Saturdays until 6 PM.
